Overview of CPTPP(Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership)
CPTPP(Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership) is an agreement to realize the substance of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement, with the exception of a limited set of suspended provisions, agreed among the eleven original signatories of the TPP Agreement. It maintains the high standards, overall balance, and integrity of the TPP.
The CPTPP entered into force on 30 December 2018.
Parties: Mexico, Japan, Singapore, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Viet Nam, Peru, Malaysia, Chile and Brunei Darussalam (in the order of the notification of completion of applicable legal procedures)
Protocol on the Accession of the United Kingdom to the CPTPP was signed in July 2023.
