Notification of Ban on Sailing for Takeshima (copy)

To Lord MATSUDAIRA of Hōki Province:
Concerning the petition from Ichibee MURAKAWA and Jinkichi OYA for sailing for Takeshima and fishing there, which they requested at the time when Lord Shintaro MATSUDAIRA (Mitsumasa IKEDA) was ruling Inaba and Hōki Provinces, the Shogun has given the order to ban them from now on. Therefore, I hope you will understand the meaning of this order.
