β Stories of the Drifting (*Part 2)
We arrived at Yonaguni, loaded up with rice and other provisions and departed from there at 1 o'clock in the afternoon on the 9th, arriving safely at Koba Island (*Uotsuri Island) at around 8 in the following morning on the 10th. The most numerous were albatrosses and brown boobies.
Seen from afar, it was as if the whole island was clad around in white paper, with albatrosses everywhere.
