We still cannot forget the courteous treatment we were given (text omitted). When I experienced the rudeness of Chinese fishermen off Wenzhou, I was convinced that Chinese people were rather lacking in human kindness, but on receiving this warm treatment we realized that not all Chinese officials lack courtesy or are insensitive to mercy.
