Expo 2025 Invitation Activity: Minister Wakamiya Receives a Courtesy Call by H.E. Ms. Roxane de Bilderling (Ambassador of Belgium to Japan), and Newly Announced 8 Countries' Participation in the Expo.

On March 3rd, 2022, Minister Wakamiya received a courtesy call by H.E. Ms. Roxane de Bilderling, Ambassador of Belgium to Japan. At the meeting, Ambassador Bilderling expressed the Belgium's participation in the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Minister Wakamiya wholeheartedly welcomed the Belgium's participation, and confirmed continued close coordination towards a success of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

Also, on March 4th, Minister Wakamiya had a press conference, and announced 8 countries that have confirmed their participation in the Expo; Kingdom of Belgium, Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Republic of The Gambia, Republic of Latvia, Republic of Madagascar, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

This makes in total of 86 countries and 6 international organizations that has confirmed their participation, as of March 4th, 2022.
