Expo 2025 Invitation Activity: Minister Wakamiya Receives a Courtesy Call by H.E. Mr. Ian Gerard McKay (Ambassador of Canada to Japan), and Newly Announced 6 Countries' Participation in the Expo.

On Janauray 27th 2022, Minister Wakamiya received a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Ian Gerard McKay, Ambassador of Canada to Japan. At the meeting, Ambassador McKay expressed the Canada's participation in the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Minister Wakamiya wholeheartedly welcomed the Canada's participation, and confirmed continued close cooperation towards a success of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

Also, on January 28th, Minister Wakamiya had a press conference, and announced that there are 6 countries newly confirmed their participation in the Expo; Republic of Armenia, Canada, Saint Lucia, Independent State of Papua New Guinea, Republic of Honduras, and Republic of Rwanda.

This makes in total of 78 countries and 6 international organizations that have confirmed their participation, as of January 28th 2022.
