Chair Yonezu Sadayoshi explains the proposal
At the beginning of May, the Okinoshima Municipalities Association (Chair: Wakabayashi Michiteru, Saigo Council Town Chairman) and the Association of Okinoshima Municipal Council Leaders (Chair: Yonezu Sadayoshi, Saigo Town Council Leader) drew up a jointly-signed petition with the title "On securing Takeshima's territorial sovereignty". Then, at the Conference of Municipal Council Leaders from Five Chugoku Prefectures held in Ogori Town, Yamaguchi Prefecture on June 2nd, "On securing Takeshima's territorial sovereignty" was tabled as a special proposal from Shimane Prefecture, and Yonezu Sadayoshi, Chair of the Association of Okinoshima Municipal Council Leaders, explained the details.
