Considering the dispute over territorial sovereignty over Takeshima, which has been at issue for a long period between Japan and the Republic of Korea even though Japan has raised objections and made proposals many times, the Korean side is not only adamant on asserting its own territorial sovereignty over Takeshima, but has also recently (text omitted) attempted to establish its control by force.
