The Government of Japan, from the point of view that Takeshima is undoubtedly Japanese territory, in order to conduct survey of the situation of the Island and to order Koreans, who have landed on Takeshima illegally, to leave, dispatched 2 patrol vessels of Oki (450t) and Kuzuryu (240t) - both of the vessels of the 8th regional Maritime Safety Headquarters in Maizuru - with IUCHI (or INAI), Director-General of the Guard and Rescue Department of the Headquarters, and SOUDA, Director of the Guard and Rescue division of SAKAI Maritime Safety office, and others, and also with 3 officials from the Shimane Prefecture and 3 staffs from the National Rural Police Headquarters, toward Takeshima and arrived in Takeshima at 4 o'clock in the morning of 27th.
