To resume for the first time in 10 years
Shimane Prefecture granted permission to three Oki fishermen
The procedure for resuming sea lion hunting on Takeshima, northwest of the Oki Islands, that have been in the spotlight about the issue of the attribution, was officially permitted by Shimane Prefecture. Under the prefecture's Marine Fishing of the Prefecture Coordination Regulations, the Fisheries Administration Division of Shimane Prefecture has officially permitted three fishermen of Kumi in Goka Village, Ochi County - Tadashige HASHIOKA, Kazuma YAWATA, and Kuniyuki IKEDA - to engage in sea lion hunting in the sea near Takeshima as of 10th.
