Takeshima, Oki Province
Island acreage 23 chō 3 tan 3 sebu (approx. 231 km²)
5 years from July 1911 to June 1916
We have leased the land on the right (above) for 5 years from July 1906 to June 1911, having devised methods to propagate and protect sea lions and having planted seeds for trees in order to prevent changes in land features, under the purpose and condition that, when grown, we will render the trees to government ownership. After the lease period has expired, we would like to continue leasing said land under the same conditions for the same purposes and in order to construct the necessary facilities for fisheries. We seek permission for the above. Therefore, as well as paying the lease fees in accordance with existing regulations as instructed, we will comply with the provisions of Shimane Prefectural Ordinance No.57 of 1891.
