This is in regard to the uninhabited islands known as the Lyanko Islands (Takeshima) located in the open seas 85 nautical miles northwest of the Oki Islands and 55 nautical miles southeast of the Utsuryo Island of Korea. In the straits bounded by two rock islands, each with a circumference of about 15 chō (about 1.6km), there are several tens of rock formations of varying size.
