Content A hollyhock crest (Aoi-mon) wooden sign owned by the Oya family, who sailed for Takeshima (present-day Utsuryo Island (Ulleungdo)) and Matsushima (present-day Takeshima) in the Edo period. The sign was used to identify ships of merchants officially commissioned by the shogunate.
