Content A survey on the state of mackerel pole-and-line fishing with luring light in the East China Sea by Kagoshima Prefecture Fisheries Research Institute (November 1962 - June 1963). The result is based on the survey in the Central Wholesale Market of Kagoshima City and the survey by the boats entered the Kagoshima port (67 boats), also on the survey by 12 fishing boats. According to the report, the fishing ground of mackerel includes the area around Uotsuri Island (Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Zone No. 539) in the Senkaku Islands, and the fishing operations were conducted intensively about a half of the all fishing season from March to June, in this sea area.
