Coastal fishing grounds (1): Mackerel
Mackerel fishing with luring light was only started as a new business one or two years ago, but fishing grounds in Ryukyu coastal waters are thought to be extremely rich in resources, and now even fishing boats from far-off mainland Japan are operating here.
The area around Uotsuri Island so far has a proven track record as winter mackerel fishing grounds.
