Announcement by YAMAZA, Acting Consul to the Consulate General of Japan in Shanghai.
I received an instruction from Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, MUTSU, this time. I wrote down the content as follows. 'According to the report, "When three persons including Yakita IZAWA of 10 (house number), Sumiyoshi Village, Mashiki County, Kumamoto Prefecture were navigating from the Yaeyama Islands in Okinawa Prefecture toward Kuba Island, they were caught in a storm and drifted as far as coastal waters of the Qing Dynasty.
