3. Guard of Territorial Waters
(1) Guard of Territorial Waters around the Senkaku Islands
The patrol (of the territorial waters around the Senkaku Islands) was conducted not only by patrol vessels and aircraft belonging to this Headquarters, but also by 13 patrol vessels sent from other Headquarters. They conducted on-board inspections of Taiwanese fishing boats intruding for illegal operations or mooring or drifting in the territorial waters, issue written warnings, obtain written confirmation of locations and pledges, and make these boats leave from territorial waters.
