Live-fire exercises
Near the Senkaku Islands

The day before yesterday, the Ishigaki police department received a cable from police headquarters saying that the US military would be conducting live-fire exercises at sea in a 5-mile range centering on Kubisho (Kuba Island) in the Senkaku Islands (25°56' N, 123°45' E) from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both 18th and 19th. Consequently, the Ishigaki police department has issued a warning for all due caution to be exercised by operators of vessels and fishing boats navigating near the firing range on those days.
