Content | Marlin longline fishing trials and bonito fishing ground surveys were carried out in coastal waters of Uotsuri Island in the Senkaku Islands in January 1950. As migrating shoals of bonito were observed, radio contact was made with Makurazaki Port to call out fishing boats, whereupon unprecedented catches of fish were made.
