Mr Koga's party
Mr Koga Tatsushiro, of Aza 4 within this Ward, arrived and settled in this Prefecture in 1879, since then he has been through many hardships and worked tirelessly to develop marine products. At the same time, he has brought new ideas to the conventional methods of commerce in the Prefecture. While these achievements require no further embellishment, the fact that Mr Koga, with a spirit of indomitable perseverance, has for many years managed the Senkaku Islands, those uninhabited islands in distant seas, laid the foundations for today's gain, promoted various sorts of marine produce, striven to develop mountain forests, and finally laid the foundations for habitation by more than 400 settlers, with further growth forecast for the future, must certainly be described as a great contribution to promoting the national interest.
