1953-1956 Survey Report for Development of Tsushima Warm Current

- Discovery of New Ocean Bank (Shindo Bank)
3. Value of the new bank as a fishing zone
(text omitted)
In the sea area from this bank to Takeshima, it is thought that migration of mackerels and Pacific Saury is so active.
The bank is extremely convenient for fishermen because of that the sea where the bank locates is relatively shallow and of that the location is easily to be found anytime by the distance from Takeshima. Therefore, the area should be highly valued as fishing grounds.
