Content | After receiving the first report of the Daisan Seitoku-maru incident, the whole picture of the incident became clearer as the survivors returned to the Okinawan mainland; three out of nine crew members were missing. [According to the survivors’ statements, they witnessed that two were shot dead; however, their bodies were not found in subsequent search.] The bereaved family lodged a petition to the Legislature of the Government of the Ryukyu Islands to request compensation for their losses. |
