Koshin No. 200 / On the matter of the Chinese who drifted ashore

Caught in a storm on December 26th. (text omitted). They lost all control over their navigation and there was nothing to do but to surrender themselves to nature as they drifted at the mercy of the billowing waves. Then, on the evening of the 30th of that month, they were washed ashore on a tiny isolated island called Waheijima (Uotsuri Island) in the Senkaku Islands, Ishigaki Village, Yaeyama County under our jurisdiction
