Survey Report on Daito Islands

On the matter of the method of ruling the Daito Islands

In addition, concerning the jurisdiction over Akon-kuba Islands, the request was submitted by the Director of Yaeyama Island Office as the Attachment. While currently we make inquiries to someone in authority about these (Akon-kuba Islands), since it is clear that these islands are Japanese territory geographically, we are considering that it is urgent to place the Islands under the jurisdiction of the Yaeyama Island Office in the same way as Daito Islands at this moment. It is better to provide an instruction as the Second plan. We suggest to you that the Director-General of the Department of Home Affairs would notify each director of the offices and each department according to the Third plan after deciding on the First and Second plan.
